Triggers activate the Amygdala and take us right into a strong potential for am emotional reaction based on past trauma or shame.
Learning to pause, think, pray, and then to act, rather than to react when triggered has been one of my biggest challenges. And, at times, failure is inevitable. But it’s well worth it to keep striving.
