Mental Illness: Hard to Understand. Hard to Explain.

People who don’t have a mental illness tend to minimize the suffering and debilitating nature of a brain disease because they haven’t experienced one and because of stigma.

Those of us with a mental illness lack sufficient words to articulate the agony that we experience to the mentally healthy.

But we must keep trying.
